| David's death certificate shows his mother's maiden name as CAHILL. The informant is his brother James KIELY of 8 John St Glebe - the known residence of James so this is certainly the right record. | |
| Further, the certificate shows he was in NSW for 30 years prior to his death. This is wrong by 16 years as the family arrived in 1884. Family lore suggest some of the KIELY boys went back to Ireland at some time. It is possible that this refers to a second arrival in NSW having returned to Ireland sometime between 1884 and c1994. | |
