| Charles Henry BROWN arrived in Western Australia as a convict in 1863 (# 7025). The Clyde departed from Portland on 1863/03/15 but he was probably held in Chatham Prison before being transported. | |
| He was charged with 'Stealing from a dwelling house' in Stafford in 1861. Convict records indicate he was 5 ft 6 1/4 inches (168 cm) tall, had dark brown hair and light hazel eyes and had 'Cupped marks about breats'? noted as a distinguishing mark. | |

| The fact that Lena Annie is the child of Charles Henry BROWN and Annie TUCKER (TOOKER) is not absolutely proved (as no birth certificate has been identified) but it is almost certain. Her death certificate refers to these parents as do both of her marriage certificates. | |
| Further, some convict records relating to Charles Henry show him married to A. Tucker and with two children named Lena (Linna) and Mena (Minna) at the time of his re-incarceration (1869/04/08). | |
